AHTE 2017 Closes with New Highs: Trends in Smart Manufacturing Fully Displayed

2017年12月01日

AHTE 2017, the biggest exhibition for assembly technology, handling technology, robot systems, feed and joining solutions, drives-control-testing, has closed successfully at Shanghai New International Expo Center (Halls E5-E7) on September 8, 2017. AHTE 2017 gathered 407 exhibitors from 30 countries and 68,739 (32,238 from non-automotive industry) visitors from 29 countries. The exhibition space for the first time exceeded 40,000 square meters. AHTE 2017 has made new highs in its size, exhibitor and visitor numbers.

Gathering the leading system integrators and first-/second-tier suppliers
As the leading trade fair for automation solutions in production and assembly, AHTE is not only an exhibition of new technology and ideas, but also a highly efficient business platform for system integrators, first-/second-tier suppliers and manufacturers.

AHTE’s concept is very well received by the exhibitors. AHTE 2017 gathered leading system integrators and first-/second-tier suppliers in the industry: Siemens, BOZHON, ABB, Strama-MPS, Teamtechnik, Gefit, KUKA, Joyson Preh, Junyi, FANUC, SEW, Festo, SMC, APE, SEW, Beckhoff , Baumer , Stäubli, Liebherr, Ston Robot, Motoman, Lanco, CKD and BBS, etc. It provides the latest technology and one-stop solutions to the visitors. In fact, AHTE supports the development of Industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025.

Mr. Zhao Yi, Product Manager of Nanjing Phoenix Contact, expressed his excitement, “the visitors at AHTE are all very professional. As a major driving force of Industry 4.0 in China, Phoenix always puts AHTE at a priority position to exhibit our industrial solutions and to make our contributions to Made in China 2025.”

First launches and new products promote the electronics industry
At AHTE 2017, many exhibitors have brought with them new products designed especially for the electronics industry.  For example, the indoor mobile navigation robot from APE – ALLY and hanging horizontal multi-juncture robot hand SH35/SH55, the CVI3 wireless high-precision assembly tool from Desoutter Industrial Tools, the Ethernet linear displacement sensor from Balluff. These new technologies are promoting the electronics industry to a new level.

Bai Yuelei, CEO of APE, introduced the latest products and technology from APE at AHTE 2017. He added, “The release of Made in China 2025 program signals that the manufacturing industry in China is trying to make transformations and upgrades to regain its competitiveness. Advances in the robotics technology are very important to such goals. The electronics industry also relies on the progresses in automation technology. To serve the electronics manufacturing industry, APE will make more investment in intelligent robots, simulation robots and service robots. APE will try to develop products equivalent to their western counterparts, while seeking higher cost effectiveness. APE will promote the development of robotics industry in China.”

As an old friend of AHTE, Mr. Huang Libin, a Department Head at Foxconn Interconnect Technology (Taiwan), sighed at the new technologies displayed, “Foxconn has sent staff to visit AHTE every year. The exhibits in system assembly and robotic system integration are exact matches to our needs. Modern manufacturing is making higher demands on assembly precision every day. I have seen a lot of new upgrades at AHTE.”

Focus on new opportunities in the new energy vehicle industry
The era for the new energy vehicles is here. How should traditional powertrain suppliers face the challenge and opportunities? The Powertrain Assembly Engineering Zone at AHTE 2017 offers a platform for system integrators and first-/second-tier suppliers to exhibit their solutions for automobile powertrain assembly and testing. It is also a one-stop solution for the visitors to find out about new technologies and equipment in motors, batteries, motor assembly and testing.

Forever Exhibition, the organizer of AHTE, has organized support programs, e.g. EV Engineering 2017, Motor Assembly & Testing 2017, and Battery Assembly & Testing 2017 to promote the communication between the exhibitors and visitors. The three-day conference was very well received. Over 1,200 audiences attended the conference. About 100 business matchmaking were made during the conferences.

Four guided technology tours gather industry big shots and latest technologies
Another highlight at AHTE is the guided technology tours. The guided tours received positive feedback from the start. They not only attracted many professional visitors, but also students from Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shanghai University of Technology. The guided tours include solutions for auto parts, powertrain assembly, fully-automatic factories and automatic electronics assembly. The visitors learned about the latest technologies in a very short time, while the students have gained more knowledge and expectations from their future career.

Over 50 on-site programs offer efficient technological and business communication platform
AHTE 2017 organized over 50 support programs along with the exhibition, covering electronics, food & beverage  packaging, auto parts and medical treatment. Dialogue summits, business receptions and over 180 business matchmaking attracted over 100 system integrators, more than 200 first-/second-tier suppliers and over 3,000 technicians and decision makers.

AHTE 2017 has closed successfully. We look forward to a reunion at Halls E5,E6, E7, Shanghai New International Expo Center on September 4-7, 2018.
